Manuscript and other collections

The archives of architectural practices contain more than just drawings, and the Irish Architectural Archive holds business records, account books, letter books and collections of project files dating from the eighteenth century to today. In addition, the Archive houses over 60 architectural models, again ranging in date from the eighteenth century to today. Also held are the archives of associated construction industry business, including quantity surveying firms and builders.

The Archive is a place of deposit for reports on protected structures generated in compliance with conditions of planning permission for the alteration or demolition of those structures.
