Catalogues

The Irish Architectural Archive’s main catalogue is accessible at the public access terminals in the reading room. This may be searched in the following ways; by location (name of building, street, town or village etc), building type (a list of building types used by the Archive is available within the catalogue), personal or corporate name and subject (a list of preferred subject key-words used by the Archive is available within the catalogue). In addition, the printed matter section of the database may be searched by publication title. The database will provide an indication of the various categories of material – archival (including drawings), photographic or printed – that the Archive holds for each search, and particular details on each of these holdings.

It is intended that the catalogue will be available on this site in due course.

In addition to the database, other finding aids include the card catalogue (in the process of being phased-out) and individual collection lists.
